Yesterday, today, tomorrow.
Inspired by its iconic namesake from the 1960s, the Interceptor 650 is is built with a perfect balance of style and performance. A modern classic, it retains the essence and appearance of an authentic British roadster, but with a splash of sun-soaked California.
Smooth Operator
A wide handlebar, low seat height and confidence-inspiring riding position have been engineered for comfort with a gentle sports bias. Together, they help the rider make the most of the agile chassis and stay connected to the machine. With a 24-degree rake angle and 106 mm of trail, the Interceptor 650 feels nimble in the city, planted on the highways and confident on the twisties.
At the heart of it
The Interceptor 650 marks the return of Royal Enfield’s legendary parallel twin-cylinder engine. Backed with an air/oil-cooled parallel twin configuration, the 648cc engine offers 47 horsepower at 7150 RPM and a maximum of 52 Nm torque at 5250 RPM. A smooth throttle response throughout the rev range ensures sufficient power to make light work of city traffic or cruise effortlessly along the open roads.
