The Zero SR was the first R-type variant of our groundbreaking Zero S, and the 2025 SR continues the heritage of charting new territory. The 2025 SR is the middleweight in the Zero naked street category and it’s the only motorcycle ever to be able to truly change with its rider. Available stock as an A2 licenced machine, the SR comes with an impressive 140 N-m of torque and 52 kW of peak power. The SR is also upgradable via a dealer installed firmware update that turns it into an even more capable full A licenced machine, provided you meet the updated licencing requirements. The full A SR delivers even more exhilarating rides and produces 166 N-m of torque and 64 kW of peak power. Regardless of which rendition of the SR you ride, it has entirely improved capabilities over its previous version thanks to a new battery, a whole new style, and a new motor. All of this plus the award-winning Cypher III+ operating system means that the SR occupies a truly remarkable tier in the Zero naked street product line.
Z-FORCE 75-10
The 2025 SR uses the Z-Force 75-10 direct drive motor making it the most powerful SR to date. More than just the powerplant that drives the SR to transformational rides, the 75-10 motor also is designed to be structurally load bearing which eliminates excess weight and improves ride quality and balance. All this along with Zero’s renowned internal permanent magnet, brushless architecture, and a passively air-cooled, compact design delivers class-leading performance and efficiency with virtually no maintenance required.
POWER PIVOT
A proprietary concentric motor and swingarm pivot design provide the optimal architecture to ensure constant drive-belt tension and maximum torque delivery to the rear wheel. A custom-designed, large-bearing swingarm pivot allows ample space for the high-performance motor while allowing a slim chassis waist to enhance rider ergonomics and bike maneuverability.

THE CONNECTED BIKE
The SR is connected through cellular networks, transmitting info to the NextGen app at all times. The app offers access to a host of ride information including current bike status and location that are always available. This connectivity gives the rider the ability to monitor the bike in four main areas: Bike Status & Alerts, Charging, Ride Data Sharing, and OTA System Updates.

LICENSED TO THRILL
The new Zero SR offers a unique proposition for new and experienced riders alike. Designed to meet the latest European A2 licence regulations, it offers all the benefits of Zero’s legendary instant acceleration and magic carpet power delivery to a much wider range of riders – including newly qualified younger riders – with the option to upgrade the power output when your licence allows.
ADAPTABILITY AND UPGRADABILITY
The new Zero SR brings the stunningly smooth and responsive riding experience delivered by Zero’s patented Z-Force 75-10 to newly qualified riders for the first time. With 140 Nm of torque and a continuous power output rated at 28 kW, the Zero SR rolls out of the showroom ready to be ridden by A2 licence holders, but can be upgraded to deliver an even more potent 40 kW upon graduation to a full ‘A’ licence. It’s a motorcycle which grows with the rider, meaning there’s no need to trade up when you level up.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
The new Zero SR can be ridden by riders aged 19 and over, who have gained an A2 category motorcycle licence.
A2 is an intermediate licence, which allows holders to ride motorcycles with a continuous power output of between 20 and 35kw. Riders have to complete a two-part riding test and, after passing, will be able to ride a standard Zero SR without restrictions.
After two years of riding with an A2 licence, or at the age of 24, riders can take a further test to upgrade to a full ‘A’ licence which allows motorcycles of unlimited power outputs to be ridden. Upon graduating to an A licence, Zero SR riders are able to derestrict their motorcycle – unlocking the full performance of the Z-Force 75-10 permanent magnet AC motor without the need to purchase a new motorcycle.
Z-FORCE 15.6 BATTERY PACK
The Z-FORCE 15.6 kWh lithium-ion battery requires no maintenance or upkeep and makes the SR capable of 253 km of city range stock. Riders can extend their range even farther with the available Power Tank accessory (dealer install required). The battery’s industry-leading power and energy density combined with an aluminum heat-sink housing and thermal transfer interface ensure consistent cell cooling and maximum long-term powertrain performance.
RAPID CHARGE SYSTEM
Our Rapid Charge System is customizable for various charging levels but the baseline for the 2025 Zero SR is a powerful 3.3 kW charger. To get even faster charging you can elect to have your dealer install the available Rapid Charging Module accessory and boost your onboard charging power. Alternatively, you can use the included EVSE cord to charge the Zero SR from any standard wall outlet for an overnight charge.
Z-FORCE 75-10 MOTOR
The stock Z-Force 75-10 motor on the SR delivers 140 N-m of torque and 52 kW, effortlessly propelling it to a top speed of 150 km/h. Pairing Zero’s renowned internal permanent magnet brushless architecture and a passively air-cooled compact design creates class-leading performance and efficiency. Also available to riders with full A motorcycle licences, dealers can install an upgrade that pushes these numbers to 166 N-m of torque, 64 kW power, and a top speed of 167 km/h.
CHASSIS
Incredibly light. Unbelievably strong. The steel-trellis frame, custom swingarm and advanced Showa suspension deliver an athletic and intuitive riding experience. The powertrain is perfectly distributed, resulting in a weight-optimized/mass-centralized design, while a dual radial front brake system makes shedding speed as exhilarating as building it.
BOSCH MOTORCYCLE STABILITY CONTROL
Zero Motorcycles was the first electric motorcycle manufacturer to integrate Bosch’s MSC System and the Zero SR continues that tradition. The MSC within the SR is renowned for dynamic acceleration and improved stability regardless of road surface or conditions. All of this technology is behind the big dual 320x5 mm rotors in the front and the 240x4.5 mm in the rear.

Customize your dash or simply let the industry’s gold standard in auto-contrasting light sensing do all the work for you. Data fields abound when you choose the bike info you want displayed and read it clearly on the full-color 12.7 cm TFT display. A DIALED RIDE
The SR features Showa suspension components, including a Showa 43-mm Big Piston Separate Function (BPF) front fork with adjustable preload, compression, and rebound damping, as well as a Showa 40-mm piston, piggy-back reservoir rear shock with adjustable preload, compression, and rebound damping. This suspension setup allows riders to fine-tune the bike's handling and comfort according to their preferences and riding conditions.
RUBBER SIDE DOWN
The Zero SR sits atop a pair of premium lightweight and strong cast 17” wheels wrapped in grippy and versatile Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. The reduced rotational mass of the wheels is fully taken advantage of thanks to the supple yet durable rubber from the race-inspired, three-season tires.
CARBON STRONG
The Zero SR uses a belt drive system from long time Zero partner, Gates Carbon Drive. The Gates Carbon Drive is a clean, quiet, and low-maintenance alternative to noisy and dirty chain drives that can distract from the smooth and serene riding experience of electric motorcycles. The Gates Poly Chain® HTD® Carbon™ Belt is known for its durability, efficiency, and smooth operation, making it the perfect choice for the Zero Street Category.
